Well, the Post-Dispatch’s Web site says the woman was from the East Coast, but TV news reports said the woman who tried to kill herself by jumping onto the MetroLink tracks was from the U.K. The Post certainly has its detractors (our esteemed mayor, for example), and from my perspective, it’s far more interesting to wonder how on earth a woman from another country would find herself contemplating—and then attempting—death by light rail in a second-tier Midwest city.
Story potential? What gave you that idea?
