I’m reading this (thanks, Byrne!), and came across this passage last night:
“Take Donald Amblin. The fact that Elect Mr. Rouge was a nineteen-ninety San Francisco Chronicle Bay Area Best Book and got some of the most hyperbolic reviews of anything on the fall list doesn’t mean diddly now because he didn’t even sell through his print run.”
If I’m not mistaken, not only have I taken a workshop with “Donald Amblin,” but I read Elect Mr. Rouge. It was gloriously twisted and darkly comic, the kind of book that makes you feel bad about laughing at parts of it.
Does this mean I’m well-read?

How is Rapp’s book? I’ve had somewhat of a crush on him now for a while and I also just read an article/interview of him in last month’s American Theater magazine. I’ve got the book you mention on my Wish List and was wondering how it was.

I love Donald Antrim and his “Hundred Brothers” was AMAZING.
