I’ve been trying to do more illustration lately. Here’s a piece I did for this week’s paper, for a story on going green without going broke. Cute piggy, right?
And here’s the runner-up. I liked this, but the pig was a little more obvious.

I like the top one, the pig is cute. Plus, if they ever do a story about recyclable bacon, you’ll already have the graphic!

Oh! But I like the little billboard on the lower design. Tough choices. I can’t really tell that the second one is a pig. Is that a tail?
Whoops! No, it’s a canvas bag. The sign is partially obscuring the handles, which may be why the top one works better. I’ll post a version without the sign later.

While I do approve of pigs, I like the bottom one better. Can you do photorealistic stuff?
